How many countries have you been to in Europe?

When I was a little girl, I never had a burning desire about my career, or relationships.

I just remember always having one strong goal, that I thought about a lot.

It was to see every country in Europe before I die. Its still something I think about, and I'm determined to get there one day.

I'm 40. And I've still only seen just over half of the countries in Europe. I think I've seen around 25. I'll have to add them up, but I know it's around that.

It seems to take so long to get to my goal, because I have so little annual leave, and I'm too tired at the weekend to do a weekend quick trip.

But one day I'll get there!

I just thought it might be an interesting thread.

I do want to see more. Poland in particular. But I would prefer to spend longer in one place, or revisit, than just pass by to tick off places without really knowing anything about them.

I've been to 20 but some new countries appeared. So I went to yugoslavia which no longer exists and I went to checkslovakia which I think is two places now.

Do you mean Europe or the EU? The number of countries varies depending who you ask, I’ll go with the UN definition

I think I would choose Denmark

Yes but not to stay overnight. It's tiny but the old part perched high on a crag is stunning with incredible views. If I wanted to go back, I would probably stay in Rimini and just visit SM again.

I've been the US. And the Middle East.

But have never been to South America, the far east / Asia or the southern hemisphere.

Probably Italy; so much to see and enjoy the food & drink. DH loves it too, which is a bonus. Sardinia and Puglia are quite high on my wishlist.
