Are Designer Clothes Worth It?

Does anyone think buying designer clothes is worth doing so?.

Not just designers like Versace Gucci etc.

The only designer clothes I have ever bought were Inwear skirts or dresses on ebay. Some early 90s Inwear garments fetch a small fortune on vinted.

If it's worth it to you it's worth it. Designer clothes mean nothing to me so I don't buy any. But I probably spend money on things loads of people wouldn't be interested in so wouldn't be worth it to them.

I wouldn't say Inwear was 'designer'.

Only you know if it's worth it for you.

Nothing against Inwear. Their clothes are great.

If you like them & you’ll wear them for a long time?

The most I’ve ever spent on one piece of clothing (apart from running trainers) was around £100 each for a couple of Desigual jackets, which I’ve had for about 4 years now & still wear frequently. I know that’s peanuts compared to what designer stuff costs but it was a substantial amount for me & totally worth it.

I used to but don’t anymore. Now I prefer to buy items that are made of quality materials eg with wool, cashmere or silk. They do the job and last longer. The prices of designer items are ridiculous and the quality and longevity is rarely guaranteed these days. I have also found vintage designer items are way better quality than the mass produced stuff sold currently flooding the market. E.g a pre-2010 mulberry bag is way better quality than one bought today.
