Slide age suitability

My child has seen this slide in Smyths
10 ft slide
She's turning 11
She's on the smaller side. She's 134cm

But I'm wondering if it's actually worth getting anyway? Would she outgrow it too soon? How long do these slides last?

Ours lasted 15 years but by the time my kids were about 8 or 9, they didn't bother with it anymore.

Well she's already gone past that age 😂

I can't see her playing on a slide in secondary school. But you know her best. I would say money better spent on a trampoline or funky outdoor equipment like those bouncy ski things.

I'm not sure if she's a bit young for her age?
I've got nothing to compare her to...
But she does still play babies with her younger friend

What are the bouncy ski things?

They all grow up at different rates but I would day a slide if younger than playing babies. If she's a bit immature then it's even more likely it's just a whim and she won't really use it.

Wow I have not seen those before! 😂

She will get bored of it quickly. Do you have a play area with one nearby?

purpleme12 · 01/10/2024 21:05

Yes we do 😂
She's just got it in her head that she wants the slide!
