I'm getting tape in extensions at the end of the month

And I cannot wait I'm so excited to have lovely long hair. My own hair is fine medium, there is enough of it but I just can't get it to grow past my shoulder blades! It just breaks off and stays the same length, the only time it grew quite long was in pregnancy! It also is so flat as when I wash it it is so soft, I have to use texturising powder and dry shampoo to give it some grit.

I'm having 20 inches. I am a little worried about washing it though...
Has anyone else got tape ins or had them before and could offer any care advice/tips?

Oh thank you that's lovely. I absolutely adore them atm, very long even with some cut off but I feel like a different woman !

Sorry, yes, I realised just after I posted!! I hadn't clocked the original date!!

my post still stands though😂😂 I could not be bothered with that much faff. But until a couple of months ago I could sit on my hair. I kind of went the opposite lengths to you, but with age/covid/illness/menopause and very very fine hair, it was looking & feeling awful, so had inches cut off!
