Just watched this. Wow!

I haven't watched the clip above, yet, but I am old enough to remember having seen it on TV, and yes, WOW. I knew a few words to a few of his songs but I'd never seen him in action at that point.

Interesting life, worth reading the Wiki about him.

Pedallleur · 30/09/2024 08:39

he was also a Rhodes scholar at Oxford and a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. So more to him than the fabulous film/music career

An amazing life.

upinaballoon · 30/09/2024 10:23

Now I remember why I know a bit about his history. I saw a programme about him, probably on PBS America channel, although I know they usually do history and wars. A friend rang me to say it was on - a few years ago.

I’m so pleased to see others mourning the loss of this beautiful man. I thought I might be the only one. RIP Kris. And thanks.

Crikeyalmighty · 30/09/2024 10:28

A very interesting and talented guy - as was Glenn Campbell in a similar vein-

FadedRed · 30/09/2024 10:47

Been a Kris Kristofferson fan since the late 1960’s. Rest in peace, Kris, and thank you for the music.
On YouTube you can get ‘The Highwaymen live in Aberdeen’ concert; Kris, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Have a wallow in the nostalgia of four legends in folk and country music.

upinaballoon · 30/09/2024 15:35

There will surely be a programme or two about him on TV in the next few days/weeks.

Skipsurvey · 30/09/2024 15:38

BluebellsareBlue · 30/09/2024 15:51

Do you mean the hottest thing you ever saw from two people fully clothed and in the standing position? If so, I do.

Oh my goodness

StarieNight · 30/09/2024 16:30

@Pedallleur yes, lots of depth there, unique, very perosnal style about him.

Very very sexy.

EachandEveryone · 30/09/2024 19:24

What a legend. My father was a truck driver and loved him. Takes me right back to my childhood and his cab radio😀

incredible that he fitted so much into his life he must’ve been totally focused. Only Willie left now ☹️

Bob Harris said this morning that he was doing a programme on Thursday. Hoping I'm back from holiday in time to record it!

Turmerictolly · 30/09/2024 19:42

I hope there is a programme about him. RIP

Beaverbridge · 30/09/2024 19:43

The most gorgeous man. Me and Bobby McGhee my all time favourite.

StarieNight · 02/10/2024 19:31

He was so unique, so bright, interesting intellectual etc

His voice!

feellikeanalien · 02/10/2024 20:14

I absolutely loved a Star is Born. The soundtrack is so evocative of my teenage years. That version is the ultimate one for me.

theemptinessmachine · 02/10/2024 20:32

He will always be John Norman to me
