Just wondering what peoples experiences are currently ? Waiting to see if DP has covid and I've a 15 week old baby I'm doing my best to protect from catching it. He was unknowingly exposed yesterday and already home with us when he got a phone call to say his mum has it who he had just been with in an enclosed hospital room

I had it twice in the school holidays, it’s still around but for most isn’t a serious illness now. No one else in contact with me showed any symptoms either time.

Quite honestly, it’s just another virus 🤷‍♀️

Maybe for some but unfortunately I have a nephew that was left with a life altering blood disorder after having Covid so I'm obviously nervous plus baby is only 15 weeks old I don't want her to catch any virus if I can try prevent it at all.

Pretty sure any parent wouldn't want a 15 week old baby to catch any virus.

My sister just had it and felt horrific for a week. She still feels tired and weak.

It's like it has been for the past 4.5 years, pretty impossible to predict individual reactions or lack off, all anyone can do is tell you how they felt not how you might feel if you caught it.

From the small number of replies you have not serious and horrific, how is that helping?

Fwiw, I’ve had COVID 3 times and each time one or both of my dc never got it, even though I had very regular contact with them the entire time (neither have been vaccinated but have had COVID other times). This past year, I was the only one in the whole house who got it, not even Dh got it and we were sharing a bed the whole time. I’m also the only one who got vaccinated this past year, so just my luck. 😂

Agree. But again, covid is just a virus. Yes it is harmful, as are all viruses.
