Half the country seems to be anti Starmer, anti Rayner, anti Labour, so…

If they’re so bad, who’d genuinely do a better job and why has the honeymoon been so short ?
Most of the Tory leadership candidates are guilty of much worse plus the UK is in an absolute state unless you live in Tunbridge Wells or Guildford so logically they really should not be having another turn.
Farage hasn’t got a clue and most of his plans, although popular, in reality are economically unviable and would bankrupt the country.
Leaves Ed Davey and the Lib Dems who like Labour are on the whole untried and untested but relatively untainted.
Any ideas ? Or is this criticism just a SM thing and most folk are willing to give them a chance ?

It's because Keir has just pissed off the only generation with enough time on their hands to post useless meme shite. The rest of the country and slogging their guts out left poor by 14 years of Tory neglect.

I doubt it's the over 65s making up these memes. You do realise that the over 65s were once in the same position as you and when younger would have been struggling with rent/mortgage, bringing up children, paying bills etc.

In 40 years time the 30 somethings of today will be pensioners themselves and the younger generation will be moaning about how much harder they have it than the older generation.

I don’t think the rest of the country is “slogging their guts our” - many aren’t

@Blanketyre but they are though. If you're not in receipt of pension credit or other means tested benefits then you no longer get it.

I also have relative posting complaints on FB about it who is currently at her holiday home in Spain. If you're well off enough to have a second home, you shouldn't need government handouts

I think we're all in agreement that pensioners who can afford cruises or have second homes don't need the WFA. That isn't why people are angry. It's because the cut off point is too low. Someone who is on pension credit and receives £218 a week will get it whereas someone on the full state pension of £220 a week with no other income won't. That's what is unfair and a lot of pensioners will be affected by this.
