“The Outrun” movie

Can’t see a thread about this so thought I’d start one.

I went to see “The Outrun” this afternoon. It was released yesterday, with Saoirse Ronan playing the main lead.

I actually really enjoyed it. An intense storyline and I didn’t realise it was based on a memoir / true story. But I thought the acting and depiction of the story was very good.

Anyone else seen it yet?

Bumping this incase it was missed!

I saw this film last night. I really enjoyed it, despite the subject matter. What a great actor she is. Loved the ending too. Highly recommended.

Planning to see this today. I love Saoirse Ronan. She was so moving in Lady Bird. And I read an interesting piece in the Guardian by Amy Liptrot about the very strange experience of seeing your own self (or a version of it) mirrored in an actor and in a film. Worth reading.
