will pip make an exception and change appointment again?

I'm sick with covid. I requested a change already and was happy with it, but it's next week and I'm still really sick.
I called and asked if they'd make an exception and give one more change but the woman said they can't. I don't know if it's just down to their own discretion and whether it's worth me calling again and asking?
I'm really not up to being an hour or more on the phone right now.

I had to change DS's last one and they made me check the date very carefully as they said it cannot be changed again for any reason, however they did offer me a month longer than I originally asked for just in case. Sorry, hope you feel better in time.

You need to do the interview. If you get kicked off it will be disastrous and take months or years to get back onto the same rate. The backlog for PIP interviews is massive.
Just do it, if you're sick tell them so. It won't do you any harm to speak to them when you're not at your best to be honest. You could ask for it to be over the phone, but otherwise just bite the bullet and do it. It's one hour then you'll be paid for several years with no bother.

Ok, thanks everyone, I won't try calling them again. It'll just take more time, energy and the feeling that I'm a horrendous person at the end of the failed attempt anyway.

well they did. I was ready and waiting and they sent through a reschedule text.

I suppose some things come up that make it too difficult, no matter how little notice there is.
