What could the noise from next door be?

For the past week there has been a constant washing machine type noise from next door.. We don't speak so I can't ask what it is. She owns a hair salon, could it be something to do with this? It's a constant whirring... It's reverberating the walls!

Constant? All day and night? Air purifier or dehumidifier maybe?

No only when they are there. It only seems to be in the kitchen. At the moment a different car is there (not neighbours) & the noise is on again.

It's just really bothering me!

Maybe it is the washing machine? Tumble dryer maybe

Surely not the entire time they’re home?! They’d be washing one sock at a time 😂

I'm thinking possibly towels from her salon ? It's on constant! I thought at first extractor fan but they couldn't be doing that much cooking!

Just go ask in a polite way or say have you been hearing this vibrating noise I'm concerned type.of query

Well if its a different car perhaps you can have a conversation with whoever is there at the moment?

Ultimately, they're entitled to run their washing machine or whatever day and night but if it's causing a nuisance, it's not unreasonable to ask that they soundproof it, level the feet or stop it reverberating. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask and your neighbour [even if you've had a falling out] would be idiotic not to sort it before you make a formal complaint [or retaliate]
