Stupid question about Diddy

Sorry if this is stupid but if Diddy knew he was going to be arrested and flew specifically to be arrested, with all his money and power why didn’t he just go somewhere that doesn’t have an extradition agreement with America? He’s been denied 50 million dollars bail so it’s obviously bad. Couldn’t he have got out?

There is a very big back story and more gossip than anyone could cover in a single post but essentially P Diddy has been arrested, charged and denied bail. There are three main charges covering many, many alleged crimes:

1. Conspiracy Racketeering
2. Sex trafficking
3. Obstruction of justice

Because of Cassie. Cassie sued him about a year ago for $30m citing all the horrific things he did to her during their relationship. She initially brought the case privately for a settlement and he refused. So she sued him publicly and all the court documents were laid out for the world to see. She got her $30m and the feds had a reason to investigate what else he had been up to. They may have been investigating him before this even came out - the federal dept gather information for years and years before they actually make their arrest.

Sex, drugs and rock and roll - Gary Glitter and similar ilk are no suprise
Rap culture, gun crime and DV, sex with young girls/women are not a suprise at least in 80-90s rap culture - P Diddy and similar ilk are no suprise.

Hollywood and young starlets being forced to do things is hardly surprising, Weinstein with all that power and eventually Prince A won't suprise anyone.

Is it really hindsight that makes these fairly obvious cases, and obviously you may think you know but nothing means anything without proof. Clearly someone / people very brave are standing up to PDiddy but I think the only one that really surprised me was Rolf Harris.

This is so true. The stuff around Mohamad Al-Fayed is the same, multiple people saying now that at the time they just thought he 'enjoyed the company of young women'..... no questions of course around whether the young women enjoyed his company in return!

I feel bad that I always thought Justin Bieber was just young entitled kid but he’s very talented singer and writer who was most likely abused while in the care of Diddy from the age of 15

I often listened to his music and loved it and I’m old enough to be his mother so not his target group at all

I feel that he was probably abused in many ways and I hope that with his wife and new baby he finds peace

I guess because he's been arrested people are feeling safe to speak. The victims themselves probably weren't aware of the sale. I watched a woman, perhaps a starlet at the time, talking about being at his studios with a group. Her and her female manager were given spiked drinks and she suffered SA whilst the men in the group literally turned the other way.

All the media is in on it.

How much of this is court-reported and evidenced and how much of it is - currently - tiktok and YouTube conspiracy?

I have no doubt he is guilty of some very bad crimes, but I do think it's important to remember that on the Internet anyone can add arms and legs and it soon becomes 'fact'.

There is plenty of legitimate evidence out there that he's an evil individual with a history of rape, sex trafficking, extortion and violence.

There is plenty of speculation but there was also sufficient evidence to convince a grand jury to indict him and for a judge to refuse him bail, twice. I linked to a 15 minute video by Nate the Lawyer, further up the thread, he goes through the details of the indictment and the known evidence which supports the allegations. There will be many other "lawtube" content creators doing the same, take your pick.

There are plenty of sources dealing with just the known facts and also plenty sharing Hollywood gossip. It should be fairly easy to tell the difference.

Also I don't think he "flew there to be arrested" as illegal drugs were found in his hotel room at the time of his most recent arrest.

So was Usher, both were underage and abused by Diddy. There's allegations of both being predators too. It's tragic.
