What nice trousers actually keep your legs warm in winter?

Can’t post on the style and beauty board because I’m not stylish or beautiful!

What sort of vaguely stylish trousers do short people wear to keep their legs warm in winter? Mine always seem to be cold and all the trouser styles I usually wear (wide leg, elasticated waist) are generally really thin material!

Jigsaw do some nice chinos

I just saw Claudia Winkleman advertising some wool trousers on the M&as website. They were cropped so will fit the short of leg.

The answer is thermal leggings underneath. M&S do some great ones

Uniqlo do lovely warm brushed jersey wide leg trousers most winters and this year they also have wide leg cords (I can't wear leggings under trousers as I don't find it comfortable for some reason; I prefer one warm layer)

Cords. Not too tight where you don't want them to be but thick enough to keep you warm.

Knee high socks under any trouser for a start. And long coats.

Its all about the layering as a PP has said.
I really like the fur lined leggings from Primark, very warm. I wear them as leggings, under dresses and if really cold underneath trousers.

I've just bought some wide leg jogger type trousers (look smarter though & could easily pass for smart/casual workwear) from primark that are fleece lined & have a comfy elasticated waist. Only a tenner. Their fleece lined leggings are also comfy.

Cords and I bought some heavy weight wide leg M&S trousers with a side stripe that would fit the bill too. They fall beautifully too, all for £35.

When it gets really cold I wear leggings or tights underneath.

Silk thermal leggings underneath your normal trousers.
