Lost tampon?

Has anyone else had this and if so help make me feel not quite so silly?

I went to the toilet to change it and went to wipe/dab first as I'd started to leak but there was no string there.

Got home and had a good feel 😬 but couldn't find anything so I've gone up a&e.

I'm worried they'll think I'm wasting their time if they can't find anything - but I'm certain it didn't just fall out!

Right to go to A&E to check it out. It’s not unusual.

Why can't you just fish it out? It's not gone anywhere other than your vagina, why do you need a doctor to get it?

I lost a tampon once. Or I thought I did. Couldn't remember taking it out.
I went to the GP, and a nurse had a good old look and couldn't find anything, other than a bit of infection which I had antibiotics for.
You are right to get it checked.

Trust me I wouldn't have gone up there without trying myself first, not my idea of a fun evening 😂

But they said nothing there so this is something else to blame on my peri memory - forgetting to even put a tampon in when I know I had unwrapped one ready.

I couldn't even blame mine on peri, it was a good few years ago!
