Travel Insurance

Sorry, a boring and potentially idiotic question.

I’m planning a trip next year with my DD age 20, (she lives independently to me) and DD 13, who lives with me. Can I buy us all a group travel insurance policy even though we are a family? A family policy requires the adults to live at the same address.

I’m quite embarrassed to be this old and not know these things…

Hopeful bump

If the policy states you must all live at the same address and you do not all live at the same address, it is not the right policy for you.

Get a family policy for you and your 13 year old and get your 20 year old to take out her own policy. She may be better off getting an annual policy if she is likely to make other trips within the calendar year.

Do not make a false declaration as it will invalidate the policy for you all. If you have to make a serious claim eg following a car accident you will be up the creek without a paddle.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I think that is the way I’ll go. I wasn’t sure if we could go as a group but I think DD1 can get her own policy.

I wouldn’t risk a false declaration, I’m sure that in the event of a claim they would go through everything with a fine tooth comb!
