Levels of pettiness you can applaud

I’ll caveat this by saying that in real life I’d advise people to let stuff go but I was reading this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62m51j7lpxo article and had to admire the sheer determination to carry out this level of pettiness “Carbisdale's clock tower was built with only three faces, with the side facing the estate blank because the duchess did not want to give her former in-laws the time of day.” 👏.

Has anyone else got any similar stories?

The property was built as a home for a duchess in the early 20th Century.

That's brilliant.

I enjoyed this story from the other week, about Australian officials erecting a giant banner to block views of Sydney Harbour, after someone illegally cut down 300 trees to create the view.

hopefully there was a more hardline response as well though!

Yes! That reminds me a bit of Equality House in Westboro en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equality_House

Not quite the same, but an 18th century squire, MP and notorious eccentric called Jack Fuller made a drunken bet with a friend that he could see a nearby church spire from his house. On sobering up he realised he couldn't, so he built a replica to prove himself right Grin
