I bought a branded item, and I'm pretty sure it's not genuine. Rereading the listing (properly this time, grr!) the seller hasn't explicitly said it is. Is there any point challenging him?

You are not allowed to sell fakes on eBay, even if you don't state it's fake/genuine.

It's completely against their policy, so yes you have a right to complain. Their account will potentially get banned if you went straight to eBay about it

You can report a problem with your purchase, it's easy to do
eBay are pretty crap with fakes you could spend all day reporting copies and they will remove one or two
