Country house wedding - suggestions please for some music to be played for approx 30-45 mins while guests arrive / get seated before the ceremony. Light classical? All I can think of is Vaughan Williams The Lark Ascending but that's only 15 mins or so. Open to all ideas please!

Capriol suite.

If light classical then ideas are -
Debussy Arabesque / Clair de Lune
Bach Prelude in C
A popular wedding track is Pachelbel’s Canon in D

What is your taste in music? Some like acoustic covers of their favourite pop/rock/whatever genre.

We had a piano cover of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven before our wedding. Lasted over 7 minutes

Thank you everyone so far! Liking the Bach Prelude suggestion but not very knowledgeable about classical music - is there a whole CD of similar work or would it be a question of compiling a playlist from single pieces to make music to last 30-45 mins?

Listen to Classic FM for a bit to see what you like and make a list?

You can get 'greatest hits' type CDs of classical music or classical music on themes (like 'celebration' or 'Meditations' or 'Pomp and circumstance') or collections of classical music that has been used for film sound tracks or similar.

Spotify has loads of wedding playlists. Try listening to one or two and shortlisting your favourite tracks. Something like this: open.spotify.com/playlist/1KCM1fra9KLHfYLkdSIfxb?si=vlJ4UagIQ7WjxXAlLsH_nw&pi=e-sxYGCiHWSHqp

I love this!

you could be random and add Haste to the Wedding at the end! I like that.

And of course, Vivaldi, Four Seasons
