I’m so stupid! Dentist addition.

So, I’ve needed a mouth guard and I thought as I have an exemption, perfect time to get one. I’ve only just got it and in effort to sterilise it in boiling water, I melted it!

What do I do now? If I call the dentist tomorrow, will they make me another on my exemption? What do I tell them as I feel so stupid!

If it’s not too melted heat it up again gently and try it in to remould it to your teeth.
They may have to charge you approx £91 replacement appliance charge even if you’re exempt.

Definitely try a remold.. they aren't that different to gum shields and I used to remold my sports one every so often .
If it makes you feel any better, I can beat your dental stupidity... two months ago I paid £1200 for my single tooth valplast flexible denture.
Yep...I've lost it. That was my third. 😭I now have to either live without the tooth (not front but visible if I really smile) or pay £££ for another..or a bridge.

So bloody cross with myself!

I've done exactly that, and they did remake it for me.

Nope (I was still exempt).

In my case I decided it was a good idea to put it in the steam steriliser with the baby stuff. Don't do that

@OtterOnAPlane so did you just tell them you put it in there and it doesn’t fit now and did they just order another or did you have to go back in? I’m just worried they will think I’m taking the Mickey as I have the maternity exemption and I’m stupid for ruining it. Or say sorry you can’t have another.
