DD has left her favourite hat on the bus. Can you help me find a replacement?

DD lives in her hat, wears it to college almost daily. In a rush, she has left it on the bus and is gutted. It was covered in meaningful badges as well ☹️

The only remotely similar one I can find is £50 nearly with delivery. The original one was a few pounds from the charity shop.

I'd be ever so grateful if you could find her another jester hat similar to this one.

I assume she has contacted the bus company and asked if its been handed in?

Do you know any knitters? Have seen some on etsy and they're pricey! :( @ShowOfHands

I've seen the ones on Etsy and they're ridiculous prices.

My Mum knits but I'm not sure exactly what she wants is easy.

The charity shop had a few in several colours. Wish I'd bought them all. They were brand new. None left now of course.

Woolly Wormhead has a free pattern
Conscious Crafties has a nice hat- about £19???

They look fairly easy to knit
Know any knitters??

Hayley1256 · 24/09/2024 20:20

This lady makes them and charges £19, she may charge more one more similar in style to your DD's but worth an ask

broadsheetbabe · 24/09/2024 20:22

Is it worth asking the staff at the charity shop if they know who made/donated them?

FranticFrankie · 24/09/2024 20:22

Snap! @Hayley1256 !!

Thank you for the suggestions. My Mum knits so I could ask her, but my Dad has dementia and she's his carer. She's finding it hard to knit as he needs such dedicated care.

I'm going to the city where the charity shop is on Saturday so plan to go in and ask as the manager will be in then apparently.
