What is wrong with my eye? (Picture)

I've just noticed that the outer side of the white of my eye is all red. What on earth is this? It's not sore and I've not had any damage to my eye area.

I've had this happen. Sometimes a tiny blood vessel in your eye bursts and your eye goes all bloody. It takes a while to clear, goes all dirty yellow like a bruise etc.
But I am not a doctor, so I'd have a chat with the GP in case they think it's fishy.

It’s a burst blood vessel. If this is the first time you’ve had this you should try and get an urgent opticians appointment so they can check there’s nothing serious going on and reassure you. I’ve had a lot of them - I do have a lot of autoimmune issues including Sjögren’s syndrome which causes issues with my eyes.
