Child benefit non payment

Hi has anyone else not been paid their child benefit today? This has never happened before. Will call when I can but wondering if it's just me of if there's an issue. Thanks.

I've received mine.

Mine hasn't either. I'm with TSB. Received payments usually show from around 2.30am and outgoings leave around 3.30am. I've logged into my Government Gateway and it's definitely showing that a payment was sent for today. So definitely an issue with the bank rather than Child Benefit themselves.

Thank you. I've just looked at TSB website and it's an issue Bacs payments and says they're working to resolve it.

Oh that's good to know @Cakencookieobsessed . Must say, I'm really not impressed with TSB anymore. Countless issues. Their app is rubbish. Takes forever to talk to anyone via phone. They just seem very slow and outdated compared with other banks.

I also have Monzo as a savings account but they are so much easier and slicker. You don't need to go to a branch to deposit money etc and BACs shows up the afternoon before the day it's due to be paid into your account. When I can be bothered, I think I'm going to move everything from TSB to Monzo.

Yeah I know what you mean, I've wanted to change for a while. They've closed all my local branches now so it's not even convenient anymore for me to stay with them.

ive no idea if everyone is paid all on the same day though, as I don’t know when mine is suppose to be due in the bank.

Mines not gone in and I’m with NatWest.

But might not be a bank issue for me as they fucked it up 2 weeks ago too. We were assured it was all sorted now but maybe not.

If you log in to Government Gateway, it will show you your last 4 Child Benefit payments (including the one due today). That way you can see if it’s a CB issue or a bank issue. Will save you a lot of time on hold/phoning.

For anyone with TSB who's not had any payments due today I've got through to them after 45 minutes on hold and they've confirmed it's because of the BACS issue. Said they won't have a timeline on what time money will go through but it will be as soon as possible.
