Oh I had such a bad cough with covid that I would vomit. I still get bad coughs

There's never really anything that works for coughs but what I use to take was a cough bottle called 'Casacol' ( I'm in Ireland but would assume you can get in UK) mix the dosage with boiled water and drink, it's awful but better than others. The boiled water helps soothe the chest immediately.

I also would make my own hot whiskey, so whiskey measure or two 😁 hot water, 2 tbsp honey, sliced lemon with cloves stuck in the slices and stir well.

Fisherman's friends and Jakemans the black ones are great too

Hope you're feeling better soon, coughs are awful.

Warm lemon barley water with a tot of whisky. Then sleeping slightly propped up on pillows.

Works for me 🙂

Hot honey and lemon. Honey is as effective as a cough suppressant as OTC remedies and it tastes better!

The same way you would treat any other cough.
