Our little village has a lot of flooding, luckily we live at te top of a hill, but we can't get down the hill in anything less than a 4x4.

It's rained heavily here all day.

Middle of Salisbury Plain Wiltshire

Nope. Rained here this morning but not much more than usual and has been dry all afternoon. Greater Manchester / Lancashire area.

mindutopia · 23/09/2024 18:33

We’re in Devon in a valley next to a river and nope, no flooding here. It did rain a lot yesterday though.

poppyzbrite4 · 23/09/2024 18:34

No rain at all where I am. Sorry to hear that OP sounds like a pain.

PonyPatter44 · 23/09/2024 18:36

Milton keynes - floods EVERYWHERE!

Iwasjustasking · 23/09/2024 18:37

Yes, a house three roads from me got hit by lightening, we have a leak coming through the roof and the drive is flooded too! West Midlands!

BeyondMyWits · 23/09/2024 18:38

Gloucestershire... we're gonna need a bigger boat... or a snorkel... rain all day, I have a very unhappy soggy doggy!

Don't know what it's like just up the road in Tewkesbury, but I can't imagine it is good.

WhereAreAllTheOddSocks · 23/09/2024 18:39

No in Bursledon Hampshire

lochmaree · 23/09/2024 18:40

No, we're Somerset. very heavy rain though, lots of surface water but no flooding locally.

SpanielPaws · 23/09/2024 18:40

Village in Gloucestershire - access roads are disappearing under water at a rate of knots. Just praying the B road 4 miles away stays open otherwise my work trip goes from 16 miles to around 36 each way and it's not remotely fun. DH has got a 4 x 4 with a water sensor for this very reason!

Bitscarednow · 23/09/2024 18:41

Yes , hideous, not affected us thank god but local.towns And roads underwater, awful

brieandbacon · 23/09/2024 18:44

Cheltenham. Working in a Georgian building. Buckets all over the place all weekend popping in to empty them. 4 properties in our terrace ceilings fell in after Friday's torrential rain. never buy a Georgian building with a butterfly roof. Current flood alert the whole of Charlton Kings River Chelt and Cox's meadow.

User19876536484 · 23/09/2024 18:48

Mid Wales. No floods here. A few showers during the day but nothing torrential.

daffodilandtulip · 23/09/2024 18:49

Not me personally but a lot of our area is. A house struck by lightening and lots of homes and businesses damaged by floods.

CitrineRaindropPhoenix · 23/09/2024 18:51

Yep. Oxfordshire. And the power is out.

Oneblindmouse · 23/09/2024 18:56

No. No floods anywhere near me.
Northern edge of Greater Manchester.

outdamnedspots · 23/09/2024 19:00

Lots of local floods. Bedfordshire.

PauliesWalnuts · 23/09/2024 19:07

Ditto @Oneblindmouse - think we get so much rain anyway that our area is used to it!

MidlandsWoman · 23/09/2024 19:10

Yes. Loads of floods. There was so much rain the drains couldn't cope. First time that the water made it into the house (fortunately confined to one room). We are on a hill but that didn't help. This area doesn't usually flood.

Neddevine · 23/09/2024 19:14

School closed today as flooded. Roads passable but lots of surface water. We have water coming in through the roof...rain not stopping anytime soon by the looks of it. Oxfordshire.

Judellie · 23/09/2024 19:21

No. It's rained all day here in Newcastle but doesn't usually cause any problems. Looks horrendous elswhere in the country, my sympathies to those affected.

cinnamonbiscuit · 23/09/2024 19:32

The lower half of my road is closed due to flooding, I live between Gloucester and Cheltenham. Friday's thunderstorm was crazy, it was like buckets of water pouring from the sky. And then it hasn't really stopped raining since. Going to have to turn the heating on to dry the growing collection of soaked shoes in the hallways!
