Blackpool or London for a weekend away ?

I know they are worlds apart but we are thinking of either going to Blackpool for two nights on Saturday till Monday or London
Blackpool because of illuminations or London to see a show on Saturday night and then some touristy things Sunday.

It's 3 of us
Me and partner and 14 year old daughter

What do you think ?

Quite a few people saying Blackpool is their happy place???!?? What the fuck? I mean each to their own but it is grim. Have you never been anywhere nice?

And before anyone piles in I used to live there, it is awful with no redeeming features.

Hope you have a lovely time in London.

Urgh, the tthought of Blackpool. I remember my parents taking me to see "Blackpool Lights" when I was a kid in the late 70s. Even as a 6 year old I couldn't see what all the fuss was about. I really didn't get it. Being stuck in one big traffic jam. Lights were well........just coloured lights. Not magical and twinkly like you'd get in a Norwegian village or something in winter, or a ski resort. It really stuck with me how my parents tried to big up the whole thing, and made me question whether it was just me who was the issue cos I didn't get it, or whether their judgement was seriously skewed.

😆

Always London for me.

London. Because it's the furthest away from Blackpool.
