I know this is more techy but posting here for traffic. We have Sky Uktrafast Plus fibre and the the internet speed coming into the house is very fast indeed. The walls in our modern house seem to reduce it dramatically and we find the speed reduces as soon as we move rooms but more importantly, we have discovered that if our Sky Q box is turned off, it is at least twice as fast as it is when the box is on and connected. Is it actually possible our Sky Q box can affect speeds on other devices? We understood it would act as an extender but it seems to be doing the opposite. Sky don’t seem to be interested so does anyone have any suggestions or do we just leave it switched off until we want to watch tv.
