Please can you give me some ideas of what to get a 10 year old girl for her birthday? She doesn't want clothes, has got a laptop and mobile 'phone. I can afford to spend about £50

Theatre tickets at your regional theatre

Clip and climb? I don't know how much a session costs, but it's really popular with friends children

Lots of friends children have been, from four to about 11. Not sure if they go for lessons, for fun or parties. A neighbours little loves it, tells me all about it every time I see them

I bought my 10 year old a farmer experience at our local farm.
It was £50
It was the best present she's ever had she said

But the suggestions above are good as well

At age 10 I would be going for Lego or if she likes craft then posca markers etc, if she likes STEM then things like gravitrax or snap circuits. There is a whole world of toys and fun outside of clothes, phones and laptops.

B&M had some beautiful markers I've forgotten the brand but there was so much choice metallics and brights etc

She's been there, thanks. It was really something I can wrap as a gift I wanted

Thanks. I should add that I think she's too young for a mobile 'phone and laptop (dad bought both).

The natural history museum does a dinosaur sleepover.
ETA it's £80 so scrap that

Edited

I'm nowhere near London, so that would be a very expensive gift

Thanks. I'd been looking at some of those things, so will get something like that. Having 5 grandchildren and being on a very tight budget doesn't help 😬

She would probably be delighted with £50 cash!

muffledvoice · 23/09/2024 20:26

Sea monkeys only cost a tenner but paired with some craft bits or STEm would be great

Books and board games? Head to Waterstones and you'd find both.
