How long are passport renewals taking at the moment?

Does anyone know how long passport renewals are taking at the moment? I'm keen to book a trip, but am planning to wait until I have my new passport. Thanks!

Not sure how they are in September but I did mine a few months ago, applied Monday and uploaded digital photos and sent old one back registered post same day.

new one arrived Thursday!
