What's your experience of Earthing (Grounding) mats?

Hi all,
I have a few issues such as trying to get quality sleep, jumpy legs and generally feeling tired when it's not warranted.

I've looked at various articles regarding Earthing Mats, and what they can do for you.

In the warmer months, I go barefoot as much as possible, but I won't be doing that (at all) much, with the chilly weather arriving.

Has anyone out there got an EM, and did it help you, and which brand/site did you use?

TIA

Mild placebo effect for the guillible (who remember nothing from basic GCSE Science). An expensive gimmick.

I'm the biggest cynic about mumbo jumbo like this. But, if people believe it and by a placebo affect, it works, well, it still works. And I think sleeping better can be particularly open to a placebo affect.
My opinion, also long as it does no harm, which in this case it looks like the only harm is that it costs money, you might as well try it.
That said, I doubt it would work for me, because I don't believe in such mumbo jumbo 😀

Hmmm, I don’t regard myself as gullible, but then maybe most folk think they aren’t.

Since I first posted my op, I’ve read a ton of reviews from peoples experiences before and after using an earthing/grounding mat/sheet.

There must be a LOT of “gullible” folk out there.

if I ever get to use an earthing/grounding device, I’ll come back and give my (honest) opinion,

I expect tho’, if I was lucky enough to be able to post a positive outcome, the cynics will be saying that I’m stating positivity, because I’ve had a placebo effect, or that I’m too embarrassed to have spent ££££, and feel no healthier.

Hi @IfIhadMyTime I know this is an old thread, but I was looking into this topic and wondered if you did get a grounding sheet and if so, what your experience has been?

Not yet LilacSummer… I have had a lot on my plate since my op, but I’ve continued to research grounding or earthing…
If you are in U.K., try reading Earthing Revolution.
They explain the ins and outs pretty well.
i am aware that as they are a merchant, they will only be stating positive benefits.
I would advise you to research as much as you can from the internet, not just from the sellers of such things, but from people that have scientific knowledge.

I could kick myself for being gullible - chucked it out!

Oh dear… I’m so sorry that you had an awful experience.
Did you hope for improved sleep, or a different benefit?
Would you mind saying which company you purchased from, so that I and maybe others won’t potentially waste their money as well as having any hopes dashed.

@IfIhadMyTime Thanks for your reply. I am in the UK. Hope your op went well. Science for sure does not back up grounding, but anecdotal evidence appears to show that many users have benefited with regards to better sleep quality. If it is a placebo effect then does that truly matter to the user if they're getting a good night's sleep? Or is it something that we just don't fully understand yet? I am willing to be open minded and am tempted to try a fitted sheet version from one of the UK companies, and then if it doesn't work at least I get a fitted sheet (albeit an expensive one!).
