How to drop 3 year old nap?

Dd3 always manages to fall asleep between 2-5pm. It's a struggle because then she goes to sleep very late. She doesn't sleep for 3 hours (just to clarify) I'm saying she sleeps anytime between that time for an hour.

Keep them really calm in their normal nap time watching tv and give snacks- and put to bed early - and give it a few day to adapt to a new routine- they’ll probably start waking later too.

We found it was best to be out and about doing something at her old nap time. Because for mine she didn't tend to sleep out, only wanted to in her bed at home. So if we weren't at home she wouldn't clock the time obviously but if we were at home she'd want to go to sleep.

To start with though I would let her nap and just wake her after 45 mins, then after 30 mins for a bit before we got rid of it entirely. Also brought bed time forward a little.

Although you will have to be aware that small children still sometimes fall asleep in the car etc even if they don't usually nap. That DC is now 6 and still occasionally will nap in the car if she's knackered.
