I work in care.
I obviously have a private life away from work like anyone else, and was scrolling through a dating app tonight - not tinder, one that’s a bit more niche… it’s basically a hook up app (for anyone).
I’ve just scrolled and landed on a current client’s profile. I’ve immediately blocked them, deleted the app.
However, this is potentially a bit of a safeguarding thing for said client (risk to self).
I don’t want my work to know I’ve got this app; I know it’s perfectly legal and acceptable to have sex but my manager is a bit more closed minded and I worry it would be used against me.
How do I manage this? Tell work, meaning my own private life is exposed to all and sundry, or just keep my mouth shut?
