How long did it take for you to see any effect on your child? I’m asking as my child started taking it 5 days before they returned to school and I’m not sure whether the good first few weeks back are due to the medication, the placebo effect, or just a general change in mindset now my child is a little older and gone through puberty. My child is also taking melatonin which is helping their sleep. I’m happy to continue with the melatonin but if the change in attitude/response to triggering issues isn’t due to the sertraline then I want them to stop taking it. We are due a psychiatrist appt to discuss but they are on extended bereavement leave hence me asking on here before I try get a private prescription filled on the NHS due to this. Many thanks
