How to get Apple TV?

I have a smart TV (Bush). If I buy one of those apple box things that cost about £150, will I be able to get Apple TV? Is that all you need? Is that pretty much what you have to pay?

No it's a subscription service, so hopefully you'll be able to get the app on your smart tv, then it's about £8.99 a month I think.

I have it and pay 8.99 a month. It’s a subscription

goestheweasel · 21/09/2024 14:26

I get the subscription free through my bank account.

If you can’t get the app on your telly, buy a Roku stick for 30 quid or so, then an Apple TV subscription - there’s often a free trial.

You don't need a physical Apple TV box of you have a smart tv.

We have an Apple TV box because the tv isn't a smart tv. The box means we can watch things like iplayer. You still need to subscribe and pay for Apple TV.

You subscribe online then on your smart tv there should be an Apple TV app you can select or install. You log in on there with your AppleID and have access to the shows.

Ah, thanks - I thought we'd looked for the app and couldn't find it but maybe we were looking in the wrong place. We have Netflix and iPlayer so AppleTV is probably there too...
