Who takes over ?

When someone gos on leave at work . Does someone else take over that person's duty's?

Dd ex is a risk to her . He found out where she lives. This was approx 6 weeks ago . He went back to prison after a few days of being released as he broke his licence. He went back for 6 weeks.

So because he's found out where dd lives and he's a risk to her There's meant to be an emergency housing panel meeting. To get dd moved ASAP. But there has to be evidence etc. But because 1 person was on leave for 2 weeks . Then another person for 1 week. Or sick etc etc . This has caused delays. There was 6 weeks to get dd moved. Now he's back out of prison and dd has to be very careful etc.

So my actual question is . If people are on leave does someone take over their work load ?

Sorry your daughter's in this situation, what a piece of shit he is.

Totally depends on the job, and the competency of the management. It's their problem, not your daughter's - they should have contingency in case of her breaking a leg or something and being off for weeks. If she needs to go, she goes

I don't know the answer to your question but I'm sorry that he's still causing problems for your DD and being a danger to her.

He ought to be in prison for much longer IMO. Not that that is any help in her situation.

Can Women's Aid advise at all?

Thank you . I just find it odd. That they are saying he's a heigh risk to dd. She's in danger etc. Then it gets delayed by 2/3 weeks etc because people are on leave or sick . Of course people can be on leave etc . But it just gos to a stand still rather than people taking over.

He's been in prison for years . The 6 weeks he went back for was because he broke his licence agreement . So that part is not to do with dd. But they still had 6 weeks to move her.

Dd has a dv advocate worker. Who's really good. And other professionals. They are good generally.

Depends on the job. At my work we don't really have tasks specific to one individual, it's very much teamwork so nobody would need to take over as such.

The types of workers you'll be talking about, probably work in an area that's chronically understaffed.

In theory work should be covered but in practice, if there's no one to do it then it gets left till the person gets back.

It's not ideal by any means but there are only so many hours in the day. Sadly there will always be emergency cases like your DDs but workers do need leave, sick leave etc. I hope it's sorted soon anyway.
