Sick and tired of it

I have lived in my house for almost 2.5 years . Same as my neighbours. The problem is their daughter and her boyfriend smoke weed. On hot days it comes in my house . I have to close all my doors and windows every time. It smells its awful. Right now my bedroom temperature is 29 . And I'm way to hot to sleep. I can't open the windows because they smoke ur late at night/early hours as well. I can't sleep with the noise of a fan .

I know the answer is to go and knock. But im gutless . I don't want to cause bad feeling , i don't know how they will respond. I have to live here for many years . And I don't want to trigger anything. I'm really bad at confronting people.

Well if you can't go round and have a civil conversation you have no hope of resolving this

Well you have three choices. You either leave things as they are, or you fork out for a fan/mini air con unit and a pair of ear plugs or you go and speak to them directly and ask them nicely (so that they’re more inclined to be neighbourly about it) to smoke in a different area so the smell isn’t coming in your window.

I sympathise. It’s everywhere where I live, but we’re fine with the noise from a fan, or we’d have 200 doors to knock on.
