I just wondered if anyone has any experience of this either working there or as a parent?

The have some job vacancies and I was wondering about applying but sure it will be competitive and wanted to see what it was it like!

My daughter has just started there. She is autistic and hasn't been in school for 18 months so we felt online was our only option. So far I've been very impressed by the pastoral support and SEN support- it feels very personal compared to her previous school who couldn't have put less effort in.

The staff seem proud of the school which I think is a good sign

I'd be particularly keen to support autistic students that weren't accessing traditional school if I applied for the role. So many are slipping through the system currently.

I'm so pleased she's enjoying it and found something thats right for her 😍.

If you are happy to.. Can you tell me what she likes about it/How she's found it different? But absolutely fine not to!

Ah we are still in the early stages so it's still a struggle but she's managing to do some of the work! From my point of view the good things are that they are just much more flexible about attending and are keen to meet the student where they are.

So far everyone has been very kind and supportive - I'm aware we are still in the trial period though!

I heard of a teacher that worked there and was very pleased with the pay

Milkandacookie · 20/09/2024 23:25

The job doesn't seem to match normal teacher pay scales but it's more whether ti's a good environment to work in. Did she work there long? Why did she leave?

It looksl ike it has some amazing staff!

How does the pay work?

Just updating this as curious still ad there's another role I might apply for and I'm fascinated by the concept.

They obviously have a good marketing budget as it sounds fantastic and some great short videos!
