I wondered if anyone else finds theirs kids struggling with the Halloween decorations in shops?
My DS is ASD with severe anxiety, and we can't go to town in October because he's scared stiff of the halloween decorations. We went to town this week and the decorations have already started and it's only the 20th September.
It started because we used to have all the kids coming to trick or treat at our house, and one year they all came in really scary costumes with a lot of fake blood.
DS was only about 8 and was terrified. Six years later he is still paralysed totally by the sight of anything halloween-related. We're getting therapy for him, but would be so glad if the shops would just dial it back.
I wondered if anyone else finds the halloween stuff a bit OTT now?
