What washing machine do you have? What would you recommend for me? I need to have a function to have a quick wash and also a cold wash

Just that. I will need to start shopping for a new washing machine. It's so much more easier to shop online.

I will need a cold function and also a quick wash function.

What would you recommend?

Bosch! We have a Serie 6 9kg capacity. Love it (well, as much as you can with a washer!)

I've had all sorts and most are okay except Hotpoint! I've also given up buying expensive ones because they don't last any longer in our house.

I checked it out online and I like the look of it but I probably should have left my budget. The Bosch is out of budget.

My budget would be 300 to 400

We've just bought a Hoover H-Wash300 it has a fifteen minute quick wash function 10kg load 1400 spin speed cost £350 Im very pleased with it the Indesit one lasted 15 years so we got our moneys worth out of that one

Tapsaffweather · 20/09/2024 18:58

My Samsung does 26min and 59min cycles which is really handy. For all programmes you can choose the temp so reduce as you wish.

Auntieobem · 20/09/2024 19:01

We've just bought a beko from ao - around £500, old machine removed and integrated one fitted. It has a 15min cycle! 8kg and up to 1600 spin. Love it.

Recently renovated and now have Miele appliances. They have a factory outlet which changes daily, so IF you find a model you want, you can buy one at a reduced rate. I'm hoping it lasts years, because their old warranties were either 10 or 20yrs long! https://application.miele.co.uk/resources/pdf/MieleOutletPricelist.pdf
TBH though, my previous Bosch was just as effective!

Always go for Indesit. Bought a really cheap one when I was on my own which lasted 18 years. Sadly second one lasted six years (shortly after a house move) current one is six years old.

Snap @Auntieobem! I've also got a Beko (WER860541) that I bought from AO (in May 2022 for £280), also up to 1600 spin and 8kg. Absolutely love it as on almost any programme (including the quick washes) it lets you have pretty much any combo of temperature and spin speed you might want.

I've got a Zanussi Lindo 100. Its got a 30 minutes at 30 degrees programme, which is brilliant. It can also do an extra spin in 10 minutes, which is great in winter. An extra spin and then over the heated airer, and its dry next day. But it is over 10 years old, so I've no idea if they still make them, or what they are like now if they do.

Samsung eco bubble

unsync · 20/09/2024 19:20

I have a Samsung. It has cold wash and 15 min wash cycles. It has a honeycomb drum which is great for delicates as nothing gets caught. I got mine cheap from JL in the sales as it was off the shopfloor. I prefer it to the Bosch I had before.

SoThisisMe · 20/09/2024 19:23

Samsung eco bubble. Only had it a few months but so far it's brilliant.

anon2022anon · 20/09/2024 19:25

Our Samsung eco bubble still appears to be going strong, I think is about 8 years old now.

This one. It's brilliant
15 / 30/ 45 min quick wash
Variable washing temperature
60min hot wash for towels and bedding
Larger capacity
High spin rate.
Can't fault it really. I don't use the WiFi feature that often

Serie 6 Bosch as well. 7.5 years old, love it.
