Smart thermostat

Hello
About 8 years ago we rented a house that had a hive heating control system. At the time we loved it.
Now in our own home we are looking to install something similar. What are people using /recommending or perhaps more importantly wouldn’t recommend?
All comments, perspectives and views welcome, I have very little knowledge of this area.
thank you.

We have tado and love it. It connects to our phones and switches heating off when we go out then on again when we're on our way home. Have separate radiator thermostats too. But we are Family of random shift workers/wfh/semi retired so a regular schedule has never worked for us.

Watching with interest. About to make same decision. No idea what I need but it's only me most of time im a small 3 bed/ 2 reception room semi

I'm tagging along too (hope that's ok!)

i have a Honeywell system I need to replace & was thinking of TADO, but interested in opinions if it & other options. (Plus some idea of how difficult it would be to do myself)

We have a Tado, you can control the thermostat from your mobile phone.

It’s brilliant you can turn the heating on when you are out so that when you get in it’s already started to warm the house up

Another Honeywell user here. We had Hive at our last home which we loved but our current house was a renovation job and our brilliant plumber/gas engineer (the only decent trade we had tbh) recommended this one. We love it areas are zoned and can be controlled remotely the system can be added to and extra zones added and we can control individual radiators.

We've recently had Hive fitted. We haven't gone into full on heating mode just done a boost a few times, but timing the water

I'm already loving it as we have a shift worker who is up at 4am four days the four days off, so I can change the timings easily when I remember

I'm in charge of the phone app and OH uses the square thingy in the hall
