What is your favorite cover of a song?

I have alternate taste and I like rock, metal
and alternate music.

I recently came across this cover of Zombie by the Cranberries being covered by Erin and the Rock Orchestra.

It’s an amazing cover. Deloris was one of a kind when it comes to this song, but damn with the orchestra backing her. Erin really did this song justice

The Futureheads cover of Hounds of Love.

Bad wolves cover of Zombie by the cranberries is brilliant .
I agree with many of the covers people have posted. I disagree with lacuna coils version of enjoy the silence being better than the original. I have heard a handful of Depeche mode covers and none are better.

Tina Turner's version of Help by the Beatles. Hers is slower and so much better.

John Lennon meant Help to be a slower more serious song (the lyrics are quite desperate) but everyone wanted happy poppy Beatles at the time so it didn't end up as he wanted.

This Flight Tonight by Nazareth. I had noted it was written by a J. Mitchell but thought nothing of it until I was listening to records at a friend's house. Yep, the original had the thin, reedy voice of Joni Mitchell and Manny's guitar was missing!
