Can you tell me about your evenings with junior only children?

We seem to have completely fallen out of any meaningful structure. Neither of us can seem to find interesting stuff to do. Can I have some ideas?

What does your after school time look like?

By juniors do you mean aged 7-11? Usually do a club after school, get home about 5.30, watch TV for 30 minutes, dinner at 6, then reading/homework, have a shower by which point it’s about 7.30 and she can do whatever for an hour before bed at 8.30. There’s a structure I suppose but we don’t really do anything interesting, that’s too much pressure midweek!!

Hi
Ours do sports after school some days, and guitar lessons, and a mature dramatics. We're looking to get our youngest into cricket all stars (for age 6-7) next year. So we take turns collecting around our flexible working jobs.

At home they chill out watching a bit of tv, colouring or playing Lego etc until I dinner around 5pm, then at around 6pm (dinner takes ages! And we chat...) the wife and I take turns bathing them nightly and read together then sleep by 8pm. It's exhausting but quite well structured.

Weekends it's swimming, a lunch out (say pizza express) and then housework sat afternoon while kids play/ maybe have iPad time (only sat afternoon). Sunday we all go out for the day....

Thanks so much, yeah I mean that 7-11 age. He just seems really bored with all his toys lately and it made me wonder if we're missing something better we could be doing.

She also goes out to play with her friends on the nights it's dry.
Homework - dinner around 5:30ish
