Drove through a red light

At a pedestrian crossing!

Feel sick no idea how it happened, I just totally fucked up. I saw the lights change orange, car in front of me turned right and I then carried on without stopping. Someone started to cross and (rightly) swore when I didn't stop. My god what. an. idiot. I am shaking

I've been the pedestrian. You probably made them very angry but no one was hurt. Were you stressed or distracted?

It’s bad but no one was hurt so I would try to calm down and think as @PoachesPeaches said whether you were stressed or distracted.
DH drove through a red light not long ago. It’s a bit weird layout with 2 traffic lights close to each other so I could see why he thought that the red was for another road not for us. However the real reason for his mistake was that my chatting distracted him. So I made a note to myself to keep my mouth shut on junctions and generally to slow the intensity of conversations.

Thanks both.

Have now calmed down.

It was a very weird layout with roadworks which I think is why I was distracted

Be nice to yourself, everyone does this kind of thing occasionally. There's a traffic lighted roundabout near me that is particularly bad with the next set of lights closely in your eye line. Every time I go through someone seems to get confused and set off - thankfully catching themselves almost immediately and coming to a grinding halt when they realise it isn't their set of lights that has changed. And yes, I did it myself once.
