You're getting married next week! What would you wear?!

I pass a bridal shop every day on my way to work.
It's nice seeing what the current trends are.
I got married in the 90s so think big puffy meringue - yuck - no way would I wear that now 🙈

Has your taste changed? Would you still choose the same or something totally different?
Pics for bonus points 🌟

I would still wear the same thing which was pretty simple but it was only a decade ago.

On the "alternative wedding dress" thread (well worth a browse) one poster has the most gorgeous outfit- hand knitted short sleeve sweater - fluffy- and swingy satin skirt. So simple and beautiful. IIRC her mum knitted the sweater.

If I was doing it again next week, I'd 100% go for it

Don't misunderstand me. I like the way there are fashions in wedding dresses, and I am happy to look at wedding dresses, but I knew a woman who was married just after WW2, when fabric was on ration, in an ordinary dress. So, if, by some very strange turn of events, I were to find myself getting married next week, I'd wear something out of my wardrobe - not very special! - and maybe buy a new cardigan to go over it!

I’m divorced and got married in a strapless burgundy dress with gold embroidery. If I do it again (and it would be an elopement to north Wales if I did!) it would be this: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1176668725/nova-star-wedding-dress-gray-tulle?click_key=6ae01268fb27f1112dad239b1ef413522d01e3b7%3A1176668725&click_sum=84217186&ref=shop_home_active_22

Id be going to Gracie Bleu bridal in Matlock, Derbyshire there is a flowery number in the window I don't care the price it'd be mine ... Also in this fantasy world id have the figure and hight to look boho and sort of abba the movieesque.

A straight jacket because I would have to be out of my mind to do it for the fourth time.
