Anyone awake?

Stupidly fell asleep at 9 so am now wide awake.
Still away for work so sleeping badly even though it's a comfy bed .

I'm awake due to a raging ear infection I however did get 4 hours sleep so that's a bonus

Sorry @Tootyfilou - I hope your dog is okay.. They’re so resilient and he’ll feel well within a day or two. A friend’s dog was walking within a couple of days.

Yep, also fell asleep about 9 and I'm now wide awake. I'm a chronic insomniac so this isn't that unusual. As I get older I just need to make sure I get to bed early enough to get some rest.

Now making a coffee and wondering whether to deal with the washing machine or dishwasher first. 🙃

Toddler woke up half an hour ago, he’s back to sleep and I’ve since been ruminating / stressing over a possible massive work fuck up

I'd do washing machine first then dishwasher

Hi, may I join you? I’ve been tossing and turning all night. I’m too hot, I’ve got stomach ache and an abscess in my boob which is making lying on my side uncomfortable. I’m worrying about da who has to have a general anaesthetic tomorrow, and missing my cat who died a couple of weeks ago. She would have snuggled up to me and her purring would have helped me back to sleep. I miss her.

Me. I have worsening hip pain that keeps me awake. Been on the waiting list for the nhs consultant for over a year. On the verge of cutting my leg off! I've got such a busy day at work and I'm going to be exhausted.

Anyone can join! I usually post an Anyone awake thread every few days. It's good to know others are awake for whatever reason and we can support each other.

Awake here. Chronic illness tends to muck up my sleep one way or another. I'll be exhausted again by 9am!

5th wake up of the night for breastfeeding so can't be bothered to get back to sleep, only to be woken up again

Was that to me? If so it's already under the care of a GP. I have two long term chronic conditions that as well as being debilitating at times, also don't play well with each other so when one flares up it causes issues with the other!
All medically managed as much as they can be. Doesn't affect my life expectancy but is long term and incurable.

Awake here! Currently in hospital with my 5 week old baby, he has caught acute bronchiolitis and is also on antibiotics.. can't sleep as just watching him sleep in the cot!

Could you try lidocaine patches?my dw gets the prescription strength along with co codamol 15/500 she has osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and these patches have helped the night pain.

Yep! Went to sleep before 10, woke up at 4. I think it’s because today is my last shift of my current job. I’m moving jobs & industry soon. I’ve also got a sore throat and the beginnings of a cold. Todays late shift will be fun!

I'm 67, male, and in spite of all that time still utterly bemused by female attitudes to men. Misandry is such a common experience for me. If it's a payback I don't - honestly - deserve it. I was abused by my mother. My brother was too. The abuse was physical as well as mental. There is a lot (unreported) abuse of men by women but it is seriously regarded as a joke, something funny. Weak man beaten by woman with handbag sort-of-thing. It is not like that.
