I am in awe and admiration of Orla Guerin.
I am concerned about her health as she looks very thin and tired.
I'm not saying that she needs to look like Holly Willoughby (all rosy and fake smiles).
She does look gaunt and I wonder if it's just the toll her dedication and courage?
I'm absolutely not judging her looks, but if she was my sister, I'd be concerned.

Hasn’t she always looked like this? Or do you think it’s worsened?

Id always assumed it was just the way she looks.

PS - none of the male Middle East correspondents seem to be all that physically different.

No, I personally don't think so.
She's always been slim, but she looks very tired now. It's probably just because she works hard and cares. I hope someone is caring for her because she's awesome.

Strangely, by comparison, Jeremy Bowen seems to actually thrive the more dangerous the situation gets. The years he spent on the Breakfast sofa turned him into a shadow of a man.

I think they all thrive on it. That's a compliment not a criticism but I think you can become obsessed with what's happening that you neglect yourself. I think she's always looked like that though.

She clearly is awesome at what she does, but is she neglecting herself? Is someone cooking for her? I worry that she's doing the same work bit not being as well looked after because she's a woman.
AIBU?

I'm a huge fan too, she's just awesome. I know someone who named their daughter after her, hoping to bring up a smart, independent, compassionate and fierce woman. I thought she looked particularly tired too last time I saw her on TV. Hope she's ok.

She's incredible, but I bet she is absolutely throwing herself into work at the moment, after all there's a heck of a lot going on. Hopefully she just needs a bit of a break.

I thought exactly the same tonight. Quite a striking difference.
