I'm so cross with myself and wound up about thiis.
I bought something on FB marketplace for a fair amount. It was a long way away but a good price so I asked if the seller would post which she said was fine. At her request I paid through PayPal friends and family which is stupid in hindsight. Her profile looked legit albeit last post was several years ago but she had a few items for sale, all high end and tied to her hobby. Nothing alarming or suspicious. She confirmed she had received the money.
Anyway, now I've paid she has gone radio silent and hasn't read my messages even though she was meant to send me the tracking Monday. I mean I guess she could be ill or lost her phone but I'm now really worried. Maybe she just was opportunist but can I do anything? Is this a known thing? I can't believe the person in her profile would rip someone off, might her profile have been hacked? My bank can't help, PayPal I think I won't. Can I do anything?
