They've git my pizza wrong, should I complain?

Doggowo · 18/09/2024 17:31

They've put jalapeño peppers on instead of the mild pepperoncini

I don't like spicy things :(

It's a half and half though and my DH has started eating his half (I ate half a slice before realising)

Will they want to collect his half too if they change it?

They won’t collect a half eaten pizza. Just give them a call, tell them your half is wrong and they should send out another.

OchreSwan · 18/09/2024 17:34

They won’t want yours back, they can’t do anything with it now it’s been delivered, they’ll most likely just refund you or offer to send out a completely new one.

Lovelysummerdays · 18/09/2024 17:35

Well they aren’t going to take back half a pizza or any pizza tbh. Call complain and they’ll most likely offer you a few quid off your next pizza. Then pick off the jalapeños and eat it anyway is what I’d do.

Doggowo · 18/09/2024 17:40

They said They don't do the mild pepperonchini (or whatever it's called) anymore as they can't get the stock so they always put jalapeños on now, I said if an items not in stick they should call the customer and ask if they want it. I would have preferred sweetcorn or something!

They've added a free pizza to my account but am sad as it's my favourite pizza :(

Its unacceptable! Someone with an allergy could be dead!

Can you pick them off and have a glass on milk in hand if its still too hot.

I assuming the thinking is as they are both types peppers anyone allergic to one would be allergic to the other.

i have no idea if that’s correct. I would imagine it’s been looked into. But you never know.

OP seems alive...

...OP have you checked your pulse?

Shouldn't be listed as an option if it's not actually available! Outrageous behaviour.

What a bizarre thing to turn to Mumsnet for. You’re still going to get people responding to this in July 2030.

I'm autistic and always second guessing myself. Sometimes I use Mn as a gauge to see if I'm over reacting to bring something up or if it's justified 😅🤣

Sorry grand master of Mumsnet. Could you please furnish us mere mortals with a list of acceptable topics?

I worked with a weird woman who claimed she was severally allergic to popcorn, but not corn on the cob. The additional of air caused major issues for her! 🙄

Doggowo · 18/09/2024 18:02

I'm still alive.

Not an allergy issue but I have had part of my stomach removed and I just cannot eat anything spicy as I immediately get pains and the runs.

Can you use the free pizza now, order the same thing but remove the pepperoncini (and possibly put on the notes to not put any jalapenos on either)?

I found these on amazon, some people are saying they're like the ones Papa Johns use, so you could keep them at home and add them next time you order

I feel your pain OP. I still remember the shock when I found out that Pizza Express had discontinued the pizza that had been my go to for many years. To add insult to injury they now sell one with almost the same name but a completely different recipe.

It’s more that in half an hour any opinion is entirely irrelevant.

Anyway the poster has explained themselves so I get it now.

distractmeagain · 18/09/2024 18:09

what you should do is ring 999 and tell the police immediately!! and i can honestly say, its been done before!

Georgyporky · 18/09/2024 18:11

Pepperoncini looks nothing like jalapenos, so why even start to eat it ?

Awww thankyou so much! That's so sweet
I will order those.

I've just had some of my sons plain cheese one, I've got an appointment in the morning and can't risk still having an upset stomach.

I’m allergic to chilli to the point of anaphylaxis but I can eat bell peppers.
That said I wouldn’t order a take away pizza at all though due to the risk of cross contamination.

Riapia · 18/09/2024 18:14

If somebody gits something wrong then they should be corrected, whatever they git wrong.
Otherwise how will they know that they git it wrong.
😉😁😁
