Thinking of going to Legoland, but not if the rest of the UK are there too 🙂

No, our inset days are typically Fridays/Mondays near term time.

No, inset days are school or academy trust specific. Bit of a odd day to have one though - I wonder if they are having emergency building / it upgrade or similar so don't want children on school premises.

Our school has one that day. They’re doing it to tie in with the feeder secondary school.

No. That's a strange day for one, I agree! Unless you're from a local Cornish village and school is closed for the fair? In which case hi nearly neighbour!

TheNoodlesIncident · 18/09/2024 10:31

It's the best time to do it honestly, bank holidays are always busier because it's a countrywide thing, but Inset days vary tremendously as they get used to suit the individual school.

Not here.

SonicTheHodgeheg · 18/09/2024 10:31

We always have Monday or Friday INSET days

SecondFavouriteDinosaur · 18/09/2024 10:32

No, not here. Our inset days are all tagged on to the end of the summer term so we finish earlier.

That's very quaint sounding! I imagine a Father Brown/Miss Marple esque scene!
