It’s all over my body in areas like my shoulder, wrist, bum lol but mostly on my tummy.

its been there for about a week now but steadily getting worse. Iv started new medication 7 weeks ago so not sure if that is the issue?

im away with work until tomorrow so hopefully can see the chemist or a doctor. But it’s driving me insane. Iv smothered myself in cream and taking antihistamines.

help :(

Most likely - Psoriatic arthritis Demotographia urticaria

Unlikely - Scabies.

Any other symptoms? Is it itchy or sore?

WaffleDogg20 · 17/09/2024 20:22

What was the medication? I've had a similar reaction from a drug I was allergic too. I was also warned when starting a new medication to seek medical attention immediately if a rash appeared

Drug reaction - allergy

WaffleDogg20 · 17/09/2024 20:31

Does that mean I have to stop :(

I would contact whoever prescribed it for you but I've had to stop medication when I have had a similar reaction and it's in my notes not to give me anything from that family of drugs.

WaffleDogg20 · 17/09/2024 20:36

Oh god :(. I really don’t want to stop because the only other option is weight loss surgery :(

Is it more itchy at night? Doesn’t scabies do that? If you are away, have you been in a hotel?

Allthehorsesintheworld · 17/09/2024 20:54

If it is an allergic reaction you really need to inform the doctor and have it assessed. I had a drastic reaction to a medication but 10 days after I started it, when I’d always thought reactions would be almost immediate.
