I am 49 this year. Have had a few symptoms here and there. But the last few months has seen more arriving.

I am going to join a gym but wanted to know what others were doing in terms of exercise?

How often are you going? What sort of things should I be doing. What have u found to be beneficial? Any machines that I should be looking out for. They have inductions of course and will be discussing this with them. But wanted an actual womens opinion on what worked for them.

It's usually recommended that you make sure to do lots of weights - protects your body and helps weight control

I like functional / free movement / compound moves as opposed to machines which target one muscle but machines can be the best way to start

I like the freer movements as it can build stability & target allMuscles not just the big groups

I like to also do yoga ( or Pilates ) - core , flexibility and stability

But the most important rule of exercise is something you like that you will be able to keep doing regularly
