I’d like to go to the Bernese Alps in Switzerland.

My favourite place and I've visited many times on a shoestring.

Polynesia, flying first class and moving around the islands, starting with Tahiti and Bora Bora, including the use of a dive boat and lots of scuba.

ItsMintUpNorth · 17/09/2024 16:51

Japan! Desperate to go but way out of budget for us.

Chasingshadowss · 17/09/2024 16:52

South Africa, 5 days cape town then on a 7 day luxury safari
Or
A week in a luxury catered chalet in Klosters or St. Moritz!

Grantanow · 17/09/2024 16:54

Round the world starting in London then Moscow to Vladivostok by train, onto China and Japan, then cruise the Far East and cross the Pacific, returning across the US train then home on the QM2.

St Helena island in the South Atlantic.

It’s expensive and cumbersome to get there and the journey is long and punctuated with at least one night hotel stay each way, more if the flights are delayed for weather.

Totally worth it though. Beautiful island, lovely people. So an all expenses paid, business class trip would be delightful.

Andoutcomethewolves · 17/09/2024 16:58

Are there any limits? Eg duration? Are we allowed multiple countries?

If it was truly all expenses paid and unlimited I'd do a year long round the world trip (yes, I am greedy 😅). Possibly more reasonable - probably a month in South America (actual destinations tbd but definitely including Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Bolivia).

For a two week holiday I'm not sure - there are too many options! Maybe Indonesia/Bali and a really luxurious villa/hotel with private pool on the beach? Or possibly Cuba...

Oh no, don't say that! I got halfway through applying for a job there recently as a government lawyer then got cold feet about it being so remote... too late now 😣

I was thinking roughly within an average holiday length? Could be multiple countries as long as it fit in that sort of reasonable time-frame 🤔

I'd love to go on the Orient Express in their presidential suite, but definitely on someone else's dime! Would the expenses include the extensive, high end wardrobe I would need too? Failing that, a luxury ski lodge in Whistler?

Nw22 · 17/09/2024 17:13

Botswana. The best lodges in high season seem to be 4k per person per night 😩

I was thinking all costs associated with the trip but hasn’t considered wardrobe, luggage, etc 😆 I think it counts since you need to look the part, although maybe that should poof like Cinderella once you’re back 🤔

Wow! I sometimes watch a watering hole camera set in Namibia, there’s a lodge nearby. I had no idea these went for so much.
